The PoetHouse is an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We work hard at providing a unique artistic environment for not only our resident artists, but the greater Central Oregon community. As we strive to keep expenses low, there are some things that are inevitable; rent, utilities, and insurance. There are numerous ways in which you can be a contributing part of the PoetHouse.
The Patron Program
PoetHouse exists to nurture, develop and celebrate artists in Central Oregon. We provide studio space, teaching and learning opportunities, an open gallery and the support, inspiration and collaboration that come with a communal space such as ours. We strive to grow not only as artists but also as engaged members of the community. In fact, all PoetHouse artists have a commitment to teach, with a focus on lower-income middle and high school students.
And so the positive impact ripples outward: from artist to aspiring artists to community - and, we hope, back again. As a patron you can help provide a PoetHouse artist: Rent for the artist's workspace, Materials for the artist, Creative freedom. In return, you receive: Invitations to three exclusive patron-artist events, An original work of art by your sponsored artist, personal updates from artist bimonthly, and intangible benefits of knowing you are supporting an emerging artist.
For more information as to how you can become a Patron, please contact PoetHouse Director, Sean Anderson.
