Sarah has loved art and all things creative since she was a little girl. She grew up in Bend, but moved to Seattle in 2001 to go to college. Her artistic adventures were on hold for awhile, but when while spending a summer teaching in Kenya, Sarah fell in love with photography and writing again. In 2008 she returned to Bend seeking a more relaxed lifestyle. Spending two terms as a VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), she began processing her service in youth development and public health through art. Sarah picked up painting and mixed-media art as a therapeutic self-discovery. Art became an avenue of healing and growth. In early 2010 Sarah became a resident artist at PoetHouse Art and bas since developed a style that incorporates paper relics, paint and found objects. Sarah currently is working as a relationship-builder, creative community connector, and is in graduate school for management and international development.
